Oilwell Pumper is responsible for daily upkeep and maintenance of oil wells. Operates oil production and injection equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures. Being an Oilwell Pumper reports and interprets metrics such as volume and pressure of gas and oil within the well. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Additionally, Oilwell Pumper requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Oilwell Pumper works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be considered for this position, a candidate must have:
A current WA State CDL License (Class A or B) with tanker endorsement. A minimum 1 year pumping experience and a clean driving record. A WOSSA Certified Technician with a professional and courteous demeanor, especially with our customers. The ability to sit, stand, stoop, crawl, reach, dig, and lift heavy objects. And a desire to grow with our organization.
Duties of this position will include:
· Cleaning septic tanks; and occasional dump truck driving
· Driving the pump truck between job sites and to the disposal site
· Pre-trip safety checks, daily vehicle inspection records & keeping the truck clean
· Locating septic tank lids and digging them up with a shovel
· Pulling and connecting hoses to vacuum out tank contents
· Examining septic system for any needed follow-up work
· Communicating findings and costs with customers
· Performing all tasks in a thorough, respectful, and professional manner.
The regular schedule is Monday – Friday starting at 6:30 AM. Overtime hours are available, as well as opportunities for bonuses/tips.
