Online Pharmacist compounds and dispenses prescribed drugs per physician's instructions for online or mail order subscription orders. Manages a high volume of prescriptions. Being an Online Pharmacist does not typically interact with customers. May supervise technicians and oversee operational activities including data entry, order fulfillment, and shipping. Additionally, Online Pharmacist requires a doctorate degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D.). Typically reports to a manager or supervisor. Requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Job Summary
Provides patient care through the provision of direct operational and/or clinical patient services. Pharmacists will collaborate within the department to enhance departmental operations and clinical programs. Staff may participate in departmental committees and in the provision of education. This position will require employees to work weekends, any required evenings, and holidays. Provides concise, applicable, timely responses to requests for drug information. - 10%
Supervises pharmacy support personnel; checks and verifies the accuracy of all tasks performed. Staff may also function as a lead pharmacist within the department to monitor workload and workflow. - 10%
Provides lab review, clinical services, patient education, and corresponding documentation via the departmental clinical initiatives. - 15%
Provides experiential education and training for technicians, students and new employees.\u00A0 - 5%
Represents the department in its collaborative effort to integrate pharmaceuctical care throughout the patients continuum of care. - 5%
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree - BS or PharmD degree
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses
South Carolina Pharmacist License
In Lieu Of Above Minimum Requirements
In lieu of an active SC Pharmacist license, may be a graduate of an ACPE accredited US college of Pharmacy with a SC intern certificate pending initial licensure or have completed requirements for reciprocity pending board of pharmacy interview for licensure.\u00A0
Team members employed in this job prior to July 1, 2020 are grandfathered under prior educational and experience requirements. In addition, team members must be certification eligible and will have one year to obtain required certification.
