We are searching for a Registered Nurse to perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served. May assume Charge responsibility for assigned personnel and activities as required or directed.

• Hours: 32hrs
• Shift: Day shift; 7am-3:30pm; Weeknights, weekends, and holiday on - call rotation
• Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• ACLS and PALS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Operating Room experience is required except during Periop 101 application period. *Periop 101 is currently closed for 2023*

Must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19 and seasonal Influenza. Must provide required vaccination documentation, unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment.

• $15,000 New Hire Sign On with 3 years of Operating Room experience
• $12,000 New Hire Sign On with 1-3 years of Operating Room experience
• $10,000 New Hire Sign On with less than 1 year of Operating Room experience
• Rehires termed greater than 1 year are eligible
