Operating Room Services Director oversees the daily operations of the surgery department. Responsible for the procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies, staffing and training of employees, and budgeting. Being an Operating Room Services Director may oversee pre- and post-operative care of patients. May require a master's degree in a related area. Additionally, Operating Room Services Director typically reports to an executive. The Operating Room Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. - Team Lead RN - Operating Room coordinates activities of staff in the operating room, and provides oversight for front line staff in collaboration with O.R. leadership.
- Serves as liaison between surgeon, operating room staff, and management.
- Acts as resource for questions or issues related to procedures or surgeon preference.
- Coordinates day-to-day operational needs by setting priorities, planning for and addressing staffing needs, and coordinating work across other teams as needed.
- Provides guidance, coaching, and feedback to team members and provides input in employment decisions; performance issues and performance reviews.
- May serve in various clinical nursing roles (i.e., direct care nurse, charge nurse, etc.).
• Position: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Rotating Shifts• Every other weekend and Holiday Rotations
• Benefits: Full time benefit packageEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN Preferred.
- Two to three years of relevant acute care nursing experience required.
- A member of AORN organization preferred.
- Actively participates in the O.R. Shared Governance Council or Committee.
- Current licensure by the State of Michigan as a registered nurse required.
- ACLS preferred.
