Operating Room Services Director oversees the daily operations of the surgery department. Responsible for the procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies, staffing and training of employees, and budgeting. Being an Operating Room Services Director may oversee pre- and post-operative care of patients. May require a master's degree in a related area. This position works in the operating room and with surgical patients before, during, and after their surgery. They set up the operating room and assist the surgeon during the procedure. The registered nurse (RN) will also meet with the patient pre-procedure to go over forms and answer questions. After the procedure the RN helps the patient, as they come out of anesthesia, stabilize and prepare for transfer or discharge.
Must have current State of Wyoming Registered Nurse Licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. One year experience in area of practice preferred.
