This position is a lead role responsible for working with the site supervisor in understanding the details of the work project and completing associated project tasks, plus providing general oversight and training to Crew Members in completing their general labor assignments such as trenching, backfilling, raking, guiding operators, and laying sod. The position takes a lead role in heavy equipment operation and serves as a subject matter expert with machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and sod installers. The position may be tiered based on years of experience and/or education.
Essential Job Functions:
Prior work experience is required with demonstrated working knowledge of heavy equipment, construction supervisor and/or management. A previous work history involving excavation, grading, subgrade surfaces, drainage install and irrigation is preferred. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States, plus reliable transportation.

The work environment for this position is that of a typical outdoor setting in all types of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements. When working outdoors and possibly around moving equipment/mechanical parts, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards, vibrations, and a risk of electrical shock. Physical demands require constant exposure to extreme outdoor elements including heat, sun, and pollen. The position constantly moves, walks, climbs, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawls to complete assigned duties. Frequently operates machinery as well as physically operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect and position materials. Frequently required to stand and walk, lift and/or move up to 50 to over 100 lbs. with assistance. Ability to visually perceive depth and adjust focus.
