Operating Room Services Director jobs in Vincennes, IN

The ORT-C has responsibilities to perform duties in all areas of the unit, Central Supply, Recovery, Major and Minor Surgery areas and Outpatient Surgery. Assists in patient assessment, and in the development and implementation of a plan for care for patients of all ages including: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Frequent reassessments are required. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to: cleaning, wrapping, and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment using autoclave, chemical sterilization method, ordering and stocking supplies, scrubbing for surgical cases, setting up and maintaining sterile field, passing instruments, assisting in admitting and discharging of patients from surgical suite, collecting, labeling and delivering pathological specimens to laboratory, serving as assistant for endoscopic procedures, cleaning equipment between cases. Other knowledge includes monitoring laparoscopic, endoscopic, arthroscopic, orthoscopic, and general surgical equipment.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technologists or Operation Room Technicians.
• Current Certification as ORT-preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• May be required to work any day of the week including holidays and weekends.
• Physical requirements include long periods of standing, lifting, stooping, bending, and pushing.
