May oversee pre- and post-operative care of patients. Additionally, Operating Room Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Operating Room Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. SUMMARY OF POSITION :
Responsible to coordinate, schedule and provide day-to-day direction to the Anesthesia Technicians and Operating Room Aides and maintain patient flow, equipment and supplies through the operating room in the most efficient manner
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
High School Diploma or GED
Working knowledge of team function within the organization
Minimum one (1) year OR, surgical and/or anesthesia experience required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Leadership experience preferred
