Mainframe COBOL Developer to join our dynamic team. As a key contributor, you will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to designing specifications, programming, unit testing, and collaborating with the integration team.

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand project requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications.
Design and Architecture:- Design COBOL-based solutions for mainframe applications.
- Create detailed design documents, considering performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Programming and Development:- Write, modify, and debug COBOL programs.
- Develop and maintain mainframe applications using IBM z/OS technologies.
- Implement enhancements and resolve defects.
Unit Testing and Quality Assurance:- Create and execute unit test cases.
- Ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and compliance with best practices.
Integration and Handover:- Collaborate with the integration team to ensure smooth deployment.
- Hand over completed work to the integration team for system testing and production deployment.
Documentation and Communication:- Document technical specifications, code changes, and system configurations.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Strong experience in COBOL programming on IBM mainframe (z/OS) platforms.
- Proficiency in IDSM/REXX
- Understanding of mainframe file structures and batch processing.
- Must Obtain Security Certification prior to starting
- Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with CICS
- Knowledge of IBM utilities (SORT, IDCAMS, etc.).
- Exposure to payroll applications or financial systems.
- Agile methodology experience
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in COBOL development on IBM mainframes.
