Operations Clerk provides clerical/administrative support to the operations group. Enters, compiles, and validates data using simple math as needed. Being a Operations Clerk performs clerical production activities such as proof, reconciliation, and posting. Prepares basic correspondence, forms and other documents as needed. Additionally, Operations Clerk may help research and resolve basic operational problems. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Operations Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. JOB DESCRIPTION: US Special Delivery is seeking a Full-time Operations Support Clerk for our Cheboygan, MI terminal.
The schedule is Monday - Friday. Hours 10:30 am - 7:00 pm

Job Duties:
· Assist Dispatch with customer pick-ups, shipment tracking, and specialized service requests and reports.
· Assist with responding to shipment Overages, Shortages, and Damages (OS&D)
· Communicate with Customers, Sales Staff, Drivers, Terminal & Operation Managers, and other inter-company personnel via telephone, email, and other forms of communication.
· Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
· Anticipate and identify problems and proactively work to solve them.
· Provide phone backup support to co-workers to minimize any delays in response time.
· Perform other job tasks/duties as requested.
