Position Summary:
Reports to the deputy warden, operations. Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties in with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, Management & Training Corporation (MTC), Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC) and Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) directives.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for clerical tasks, systems and procedures related to security operations and assisting all security personnel as directed.
2. Perform duties including filing, data entry, create spreadsheets, type correspondences, reports and letters as directed by supervisor.
3. Proofread material to verify accuracy.
4. File inmate records and maintain, update, and file all terminated inmate records in accordance with established guidelines.
5. Maintain department files and update as needed.
6. Make copies of documents and information from one record to place in another record as required.
7. Maintain appropriate office supplies for the department.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year related experience required. Computer knowledge preferred. A valid driver’s license in the state of Florida with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
