Operations Manager manages the daily activities of an organization's operations. Implements company policies, procedures, and initiatives to ensure efficient operations. Being an Operations Manager monitors performance against operational goals and evaluates and enhances current operational systems. Develops reporting and auditing processes used to analyze operational effectiveness and reviews performance reports from team leaders. Additionally, Operations Manager coordinates operations with other functions. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Operations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Category Retail Position Summary Responsible for every aspect of the store operation, which includes: selecting, coaching and developing store teammates as well as merchandising, advertising and promotion of products and services. Responsibilities • Customer service • Drive store sales & promotions • Build Customer Satisfaction & Loyalty Creating Results for Teammates, Customers and the Company • Understand alternative tire sourcing and competitors • Payroll, budgets and store goals • Responsible for record keeping and relevant financial information • Manage, schedule and assign staff according to their skill level • Attend paid training to stay up-to-date with new developments in the automotive service industry • Follow up with customers to obtain feedback and ensure they are satisfied with received • Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Minimum 8 years combined experience managing a single store or multi-unit retail operation Minimum 3-5 years oversight of a P&L for a store or area/district High school degree or equivalent is required.
