JOB DESCRIPTION: The Operations Manager role provides leadership to the manufacturing areas of the Dalton, Ga facility to ensure a positive work environment. The position will emphasize safety 1st, do it right the first-time quality, customer orders delivered on time, and engaging employees in a continuous improvement culture. This individual will manage a 3-shift manufacturing process through 3-4 shift supervisors. They will also be responsible to drive improvement, coach and mentor the team in key areas including safety, quality, delivery, inventory/material cost, efficiency, and resource allocation. The successful candidate is a change agent with a growth mindset, able to create a vision that inspires and motivates the team. More specifically, this position will:
QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management or similar area. Candidates must have 3-5 years of operations management experience in a manufacturing environment and aspire to become a Plant Manager. They should have experience successfully implementing lean manufacturing concepts. They should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills along with exceptional interpersonal skills.
