Operations Research Analysis Manager jobs in New London, CT
Operations Research Analysis Manager manages a team of operations research analysts to collect and analyze data to evaluate operational difficulties and make recommendations to solve problems. Identifies inefficiencies and analyzes and reports solutions to correct inefficiencies. Being an Operations Research Analysis Manager acts as advisor to operations research team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Operations Research Analysis Manager typically reports to the head of a unit/department. The Operations Research Analysis Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Position Summary:
This position is responsible for leading the Financial Planning and Analysis department in performing many functions including, but not limited to, various financial modeling, daily, monthly, and long term forecasting, variance analyses, operating budget development, labor analyses, monthly reporting and return on investment analyses for various projects.

- Performs labor analyses with the use of key volume indicators to ensure proper staffing to maximize customer service levels while ensuring profitability
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the statistical journal entry on a monthly basis
- Performs ad hoc analyses based on operational trends, economic trends or competitive developments, when necessary
