    • Collects and studies data to reveal ways to improve a business, organization or government entity to enhance operational effectiveness.
    • Conducts analytical studies and research using advanced statistical techniques, using reporting programs which measure the activities of the agency.
    • Ensures the attainment of statistical data and the use of collection systems to satisfy immediate, mid-range, and long term statistical data collection requirements
    • Serves as an expert in the area of data management for the forecasting and analyses of data and will make recommendations to senior level management accordingly.
    • Responsible for designing reports to include tools that can help those involved easily understand the data, including complex and interactive charts, graphs, and tables.

    Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.     Qualifications

    The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 04/26/2024.

    Time in Grade does not apply to Delegated Examining Announcements, any reference to Time in Grade in the questionnaire will not apply to the rating and ranking of applicants.

    Basic Requirements: All applicants must meet the following basic requirements: (Must be supported in Transcripts from an accredited institution, Resume and/or Applicable Certificate)
    • Degree: In operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
    GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
    • Collecting and validating pertinent data and facts and making recommendations utilizing this data;
    • Designing and reviewing reports to include charts, graphs and tables for various audiences;
    • Conducting analysis, studies and research independently.
