Operations Manager

Summary:

As Operations Manager, this person will oversee the daily functions of the operations and production team. This person will also serve on Sullivan Steel’s senior leadership team and will assist in creating an overall strategy for the company’s continued growth and optimization of processes. The Operations Manager will be a source of knowledge and leadership across Sullivan Steel.

Primary Duties

• Manages and leads all warehouse operations, including shipping, planning, production functions, inventory control, maintenance, and process engineering.
• Develops, communicates, and measures operational strategies.
• Maintains operational metrics related to On Time Delivery, Inventory accuracy, and Safety.
• Maintains and develops productivity standards based on customer demand.
• Manages department budget, including capital expenditures, operating costs, shop supplies and maintenance expenditures.
• Identifies cost savings opportunities and develop strategies to optimize resources.
• Collaborates with the planning of facility expansion projects.
• Promotes a collaborative culture across all functions within Sullivan Steel.
• Develops operational supervisors and leaders.
• Supports maintenance programs and preventative maintenance procedures.

Additional Responsibilities

• Adheres to all safety, quality, and company procedures and guidelines.
• Maintains a neat and orderly workspace and appearance.
• Able to work extended hours as needed, including Saturdays.
