Operations Section Manager jobs in Wichita, KS

Kansas Bridge Section Leader at our Wichita or Overland Park locations to lead our Kansas bridge team on KDOT, KTA, county and municipal transportation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and continue to build our Kansas bridge department.
• Project management and oversight of bridge projects from initial scoping to final design plans.
• Prepare and assist with project proposals, interviews and presentations to clients.
• Proficient in bridge design.
• Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to staff members.
• Point of contact for clients to ensure design meets their needs and objectives.
• Develop and maintain client relations.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation projects involving DOT, turnpike, county and municipal work.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Knowledge of or experience with software such as MDX, LEAP Bridge, OpenBridge Designer, BRASS-CULVERT, LARSA and BAR7
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Highly organized, self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects at once. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and time management skills are required.
• Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines, exhibit good business judgement and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• PE license in Kansas and/or Oklahoma is preferred (or the ability to obtain said license in a timely manner).
• Knowledge of local standards and requirements is preferred.
