    The Storage Solutions Specialist is responsible for the effective operation, maintenance, and management of our client's storage environments, encompassing a broad range of DellEMC products. This role demands a highly skilled individual capable of ensuring the seamless performance of storage solutions, including Powerscale, Unity, Data Domain, Avamar, XtremIO, and Cisco MDS SAN switches. Key responsibilities include day-to-day management, troubleshooting, and problem resolution across all storage-related hardware and software, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.


    The specialist will engage in proactive monitoring and maintenance activities, employing best practices to enhance storage infrastructure. They will manage issues, implement change management processes, and contribute to continual service improvement efforts. The role requires a strong foundation in storage administration principles and a commitment to staying abreast of technological advancements in the field.


    Candidates must possess a Security CE Certification or demonstrate a willingness to obtain this qualification. We are open to considering applicants with a solid background in storage administration who may require training on specific DellEMC products not previously encountered.     What you'll be doing:
    • Operate and maintain a diverse storage environment, including DellEMC products such as Powerscale, Unity, Data Domain, Avamar, XtremIO, and Cisco MDS SAN switches.
    • Conduct daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining high performance and reliability of storage solutions.
    • Implement and manage change control processes for the storage environment, ensuring changes are executed in a controlled and systematic manner.
    • Educate team members on best practices for storage management, promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
    • Engage in problem management, identifying and analyzing root causes of incidents and developing strategies to prevent future issues.
    • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for storage-related problems, acting as a key escalation point for complex issues and ensuring timely resolution.
    • Manage storage security measures, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and certifications, including maintaining Security CE Certification requirements.
    • Participate in the planning and implementation of storage system enhancements and upgrades, aiming to improve reliability, performance, and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with IT system infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of storage solutions within the broader IT environment.
    • Remain involved in the resolution process for dispatched system and hardware problems, ensuring effective communication and coordination with internal customers and agency management.

    What you'll need:
    Desired Skills/Abilities
    • Must be authorized to work in the US
    • Active TS/SCI w/ appropriate level Polygraph required
    • Proficient knowledge of DellEMC storage products including Powerscale, Unity, Data Domain, Avamar, XtremIO, and familiarity with Cisco MDS SAN switches.
    • Strong understanding of storage administration principles, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting of storage solutions.
    • Ability to perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all storage hardware, server resources, and systems.
    • Skilled in problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution, capable of providing both Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.
    • Experience with change management processes and the ability to manage changes in a controlled and systematic manner.
    • Knowledge of best practices in storage management and the ability to educate team members on these practices.
    • Competence in analyzing root causes of incidents and developing strategies to prevent future issues.
    • Familiarity with security standards and certifications, with a requirement to hold or obtain a Security CE Certification.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with IT system infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of storage solutions.
    • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively escalating and communicating status to agency management and internal customers.
    • Commitment to continual learning and improvement, with a willingness to train on specific DellEMC products as needed.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    • Minimum of 3 years' in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
