We are currently seeking an operations specialist.

This position handles the following primary functions:
- Performing cremations per family wishes and company policy.
- Transferring pets from the place of death to Forever Friends and returning memorial packages from Forever Friends to private residences.
- Assisting in our quality control process to ensure 100% accuracy in our products and services.
- Engraving Urns.
- Misc tasks to ensure operations flow smoothly
Detailed Job Functions
- Demonstrate our core values of respect, transparency, service excellence, and accountability.
- Show exceptional care and respect for every pet in our care & family we serve
- Receive and release remains into and out of our care and ensure all documentation is complete
- Complete all required documentation with respect to the cremation process and equipment maintenance
- Operate & maintain cremation equipment
- Placing remains in the cremation unit, removing them from the cremation unit, processing remains, and transferring them into the urn or container of clients’ choice
- maintaining appropriate chain of custody documentation, ensuring accurate identification and tracking of remains while in company custody
- Complete all documentation & records thoroughly and accurately in computer software and/or on paper
- Ensure the work area is tidy, clean, and organized at all times
- Respond to initial calls for service by transferring deceased pets from residences and veterinary clinics and returning remains & memorial products to clinics and client homes.
- Follow safety protocols
- Follow all codes of conduct as set forth by the company
- Meet all deadlines
- Exceed customer expectations by providing excellent customer service
- Participate in staff meetings and offer suggestions to improve family satisfaction, product and service offerings, and profitability of the company
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good driving record and valid current driver’s license
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional level of compassion and integrity

Work Environment
- Exposure to hot surfaces
- Above-average noise level
- Driving throughout Columbus metro area
- Exposure to conditions associated with deceased pet remains
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to show respect and sensitivity toward client families
- Must operate equipment in a safe and careful manner
- Ability to lift 70 pounds unassisted
- Able to read a tape measure
- Ability to work at a steady pace, while maintaining quality
