Operations Support Specialist
A manufacturing company in Pensacola, Florida is looking for a full-time Operations Support Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity to provides customer service to vendors and customers and provides administrative support to the sales, production, and operations teams.
What you’ll be doing to make an impact:- Receive and process incoming orders into industry specific software.
- Collect and record deposits, create and update customer/vendor records, and track purchase orders.
- Process A/P and A/R invoices.
- Respond to inquiries concerning billing or product orders.
- Assist with accounts receivable monitoring/follow up.
- Record expenses and sales revenue transactions.
- Process payments to vendors. Assist with account audits as assigned.
- Manage bids for services or purchases.
- Provide administrative assistance with freight logistics.
- Organize and maintain files, correspondence, and other records.
- Assist in planning and coordination of special events and employee engagement.
- Monitor social media accounts as assigned. Assist with marketing projects as assigned.
- Assist management/sales teams with special projects as assigned.
- Provide superb customer service to both internal and external customers.
- High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 2 years related office experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor and the general public
- Extensive working knowledge of Excel is required.
- Good time management skills and the ability to multi-task in a high paced work environment - required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – required.
- Strong attention to detail – required.
- Accounting or bookkeeping experience is a plus.
- Experience in shipping/receiving and/or freight coordination is a plus.
- Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively with customers, vendors, and employees.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- This position pays $21/hour
- Monday-Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a 1 hour break for lunch each day. Overtime work may be required from time to time.
