Operations Supervisor supervises the daily activities of an operational unit. Monitors and assists staff to maintain workflow and achieve targeted operational and financial results. Being an Operations Supervisor implements practices to ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures. Resolves routine operational issues and escalates complex issues as needed. Additionally, Operations Supervisor prepares performance and progress reports for management to monitor and improve inefficiencies. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Operations Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Operations Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Focus
- Conduct regular job-site service evaluations and safety checks
- Coach, motivate, and train movers, drivers, and trainers
- Attend regular meetings with the operations teams
- Coordinate employee scheduling, truck assignments, and dispatch of moving crews
- Audit paperwork to ensure compliance
- Acts as the point of contact for customers, establishes a rapport and builds confidence in TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® services
Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required
- A minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
- Must be at least 21 years or older
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, ability to drive company vehicles, and ability to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate
- Previous moving and/or commercial driving experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with MS Office, cloud-based data storage, digital forms, and phone apps
