Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical office management and possess strong leadership and organizational skills. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Duties:
Maintain and train adequate staff for front office check-in and check-out of patients (including: obtaining demographic information, loading correct insurance information, posting charges, correct diagnosis coding of fee tickets.
Maintains an appropriate level of supply inventory (medical and pharmacy), and monitors each area for supply overages.
. Ensures proper documentation and follow-up of problems as indicated by RMC/RMCCA Hospital system policy.
Monitors and maintains a high level of quality, throughout the physician practice regarding excellent customer service.
Verifies daily deposits to cash posted
Monitors insurance register denials to educate staff on errors to establish clean claim forms at the input of the charge.
Monitors employee breaks and lunch hours to assure that each area is covered at all times.
Able to assume duties of personnel in the office, as required
Completes year end inventory and month-end inventories, as requested.
Education:
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor of Science or other related technical certificate preferred.
Experience:
Supervisory experience required. Previous experience in a physician’s office required or equivalent on the job training. Knowledge of medical terminology.
