Operations Supervisor supervises the daily activities of an operational unit. Monitors and assists staff to maintain workflow and achieve targeted operational and financial results. Additionally, Operations Supervisor prepares performance and progress reports for management to monitor and improve inefficiencies. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Operations Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Operations Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     The Role

     

    The Operations Supervisor will coordinate and safely complete the duties of production, shipping, receiving, preventative maintenance, and improvement teams. This position will support our overnight operations (6pm - 4am, Monday - Friday).

    Internal Job Description

    Key responsibilities for this role include:

     

    • Promote teamwork among all shift associates and between shifts.
    • Participate in performance assessment, employee development, and compensation discussions of Operations Associates.
    • Work with Production Planner to establish production plan
    • Investigate root cause for CAR/NCR
    • Manage/maintain shift work
    • Be a role model and advocate for FUJIFILM values.
    • Produce, package and prepare FUJIFILM products for shipment.
    • Receive raw material and containers
    • Perform required data entry and record keeping
    • Perform required quality testing and inspections
    • Maintain safe and clean working environment
    • Immediately address any deviation to FUJIFILM values, procedures, policies, etc.
    • Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas.
    • Lead plant safety initiatives.
    • Perform miscellaneous production and warehouse related tasks (for example, cycle count, preventive maintenance, housekeeping, inventory, incident investigation)
    • Develop leadership skills through practice and training

     

    REQUIREMENTS

     

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • One to three years of production or warehousing experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and materials handling.
    • Self-directed, ability to work with limited supervision, strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes; experienced in ERP systems data entry
    • Must have flexibility to work on all shifts.
    • This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
