JOB PURPOSE: The basic function of the Operations Manager is to work with and oversee the technicians to ensure that the agreed-upon service schedules and scope of work are maintained with optimum efficiency, safety, profit, and client service on all projects.
Pay range: $25 - $30 based on experience
Wage to Salary opportunity after 2 months of Employment !!! Starting Salary at $48,000 plus bonus structure.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for completing Kitchen Exhaust System Cleaning Projects to DFS Standards
- Responsible for proper disassembly and reassembly of Kitchen Exhaust System
- Following DFS process for hood vent cleaning
- Responsible for taking inventory of supplies and reporting deficiencies to supervisor
- Promptly correct any client complaints and address any issues noted by management
- Clock in and out properly
- Opportunity for more hours by filling in for absent employees, occasionally work an extended shift
- Notify DOO of any issues experienced, be an outstanding communicator
- Maintain and care for supplies and equipment
- Responsible for OTJ training of new employees
- Responsible for reporting disciplinary issues of cleaning technicians to Manager/HR
- Responsible for account inspections
- Must update account inspection notes promptly
- In charge of moving paper products to appropriate sites
- Handles all paperwork to sign out paper products, serves as the liaison between the field and the office
- Organize labor in the field, move team members around as necessary when absences occur
- Performance reviews for Kitchen Exhaust cleaning technicians
- Actively recruit for new employees
- Learn and perform floor cleaning tasks as necessary
- Communicate often and thoroughly with the manager to provide updates regarding any personnel, disciplinary situations, successes in the field, ideas for improving processes, etc.
- Communicate clearly with cleaning technicians regarding any changes in company policies, processes, etc.
- Discuss the plan of attack on new accounts with your Manager
- Actively promote Health and Safety, and report any breach directly to the Manager.
- Ensure that all staff wear all appropriate PPE
- Set up new accounts
- must participate in and make positive contributions to all leadership meetings
- Ensure all checklists and sign off sheets are completed properly
- Look for upsell opportunities in the field
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Required: High School graduate or G.E.D.
- Preferred: College Degree BA or BS
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of hood vent cleaning, fire restoration experience or other applicable experience
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in a supervisory role.

Knowledge & Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, including:
- Working knowledge of Spanish is desirable, but not required.
- The use of analytical and observational skills which demonstrate an ability to work unsupervised, supervise others, follow company policy, interact with employees and clients, and schedule work in stressful situations.
Working conditions:
- Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility, adaptability and resilience in a wide variety of work situations.
- Customer service may include interacting with challenging clients and tight deadlines.
- General Kitchen environment, with low to medium noise, low to medium heat and cold
- May be exposed to high dust, heat, noise levels, wet and slippery conditions when visiting field job sites and/or client locations.
- Occasional emergency calls after hours, holidays and on weekends.
Physical requirements:
- Body Positions: Standing, sitting, climbing a ladder
- Body Movements: Walking, stooping, bending
- Sensory Abilities: Sighted, voiced, and hearing. Close, color, and peripheral vision with ability to adjust eye focus.
