Operations Unit Manager manages the daily activities of an operations unit. Responsible for planning and directing budgets, goals, and business objectives. Being an Operations Unit Manager requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent or in a related area. Typically reports to a senior manager. The Operations Unit Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an Operations Unit Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Summary
The Unit Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the nursing department and the care provided to the residents we serve. The Unit Manager will serve as a leader to the nursing team, providing ongoing guidance and direction to staff RNs, LPNs and STNAs. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader and possess strong clinical and assessment skills. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the RN Unit Manager will play an integral part in our high-quality clinical outcomes and service excellence.
Education and Experience
- Current Ohio nurse license in good standing with the Ohio Board of Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Company sponsored educational opportunities available
- A minimum of two (2) year of supervisory nursing experience preferred
- Post-acute care experience preferred
- Experience with PointClickCare EMR preferred
