Takes precision measurements of eyes using a pupilometer and other devices to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses or contact lenses. Being an Optician assists and advises customers in selecting frames based on their prescription, lifestyle needs, and style preferences. Inspects lenses for quality, fits and adjusts eyewear, and repairs eyewear as needed. Additionally, Optician instructs customer on correct eyeglasses and contact lens care and maintenance. We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Optician to join our team. This individual will be working in our Plymouth location Monday through Friday 9-5.
Ideally and experienced candidate would best suit this location but willing to train the right candidate.

Our Plymouth location is nestled right behind Chick-fil-A, across from Colony Place. We have a sister store opening in Middleboro that you can pick up hours at as needed or want to.
As an Apprentice Optician, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers with their eyewear needs and ensuring their satisfaction. If you have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the optical industry, we would love to hear from you.
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses, frames, and lenses
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features
- Provide recommendations on lens options, coatings, and treatments
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Process orders for eyewear
- Collaborate with optometrists and tech to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment
-Work with insurance companies on submitting patient benefits and orders.
- Previous experience as an Optician or in the optical industry is required is preferred
- Strong knowledge of optical products, including frames, lenses, coatings, and treatments
- Familiarity with medical records systems such as Uprise is a plus
- Experience working in a laboratory is a plus but happy to teach
