Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting and fitting eyewear, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring accurate prescription fulfillment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.

Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting eyewear that meets their vision needs and personal style preferences
- Take accurate measurements of customers' facial features and optical parameters
- Interpret prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists
- Recommend appropriate lens materials, coatings, and frames based on customers' visual requirements
- Adjust and fit eyewear to ensure proper alignment, comfort, and visual clarity
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Process orders for lenses, frames, and other optical products
- Maintain accurate records of customer information and transactions
- Collaborate with the optometrist or ophthalmologist to provide comprehensive eye care services

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as an Optician or in a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of optical principles, lens materials, and frame styles
- Familiarity with retail math and sales techniques
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to understand prescriptions
- Proficiency in using optical systems (e.g., Epic) for record keeping and order processing
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with diverse populations (e.g., pediatrics, senior care) is a plus
