Job Description: We are seeking a motivated Optician to join our team. As an Optician at Harnos Optometry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the best possible eyewear solutions. We are willing to train entry level opticians, eager to expand their optical knowledge in the field. Internship possibilities towards becoming certified. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting patients in selecting frames and lenses based on their prescription, lifestyle, and preferences.
• Accurate measurements and fittings to ensure proper lens alignment and comfort.
• Educating patients on lens options, coatings, and enhancements.
• Adjusting and repairing eyeglasses as needed.
• Maintaining inventory and ordering frames and lenses.
• Collaborating with our optometrists and other team members to provide comprehensive eye care services.
• Working with major vision plans for claims and order processing,

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Certification: Valid certification as an Optician (ABO NYS) is preferred but not required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an Optician.
• Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in frame adjustments, lens measurements, repairs lensometer and pupilometer.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with our team and provide exceptional patient care.

Hours: This is a 3 day per week opportunity with possible 5 days in the future. 1 Hour lunch break Monday-Thursday.

Pay: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour
