We are a growing private Optometry practice based in Temperance, MI that offers its employees a great work environment, competitive pay and opportunities for on-the-job training in the optical field.

The Company: Premier Vision is a growing privately owned local business. Our doctor/owner lives in Bedford and opened this practice in 2011. He provides the full spectrum of optometric services. Our practice also has an optical to provide glasses for patients. We pride ourselves in providing excellent, personalized service to our patients.

The Position: We’re looking for a full-time Optician to assist patients with frame selection/lens choices to best suit their needs.

• Exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task
• Thorough knowledge of currently available frame and lens choices.
• An ability to take patient, insurance, and Rx information and combine them to appropriately advise patients on their best frame and lens options.
• Daily Responsibilities:
• Assisting patients with frame selection
• Frame repairs/adjustments
• Placing/receiving /dispensing optical orders
• Scheduling appointments with patients, verifying and updating patients’ insurance coverage
• Ability to train patients in contact lens wear
• Requirements:
• High School diploma. Computer skills required.
• Experienced optician preferred but not required. Willing to train right person.
