Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring their vision needs are met. You will also provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean and organized optical area. Duties: - Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that suit their style and prescription - Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes, including pupillary distance and frame size - Fit eyeglasses and contact lenses to ensure proper vision correction - Adjust frames to ensure comfort and proper alignment - Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance - Process orders for eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical products - Perform repairs and adjustments on eyewear as needed - Maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies - Keep the optical area clean, organized, and stocked Requirements: - Previous experience as an Optician or in a similar role - Knowledge of optical systems and equipment - Familiarity with medical billing and coding procedures - Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus - Understanding of aseptic technique for handling contact lenses - Strong sales skills to effectively communicate with customers and promote products - Proficiency in maintaining accurate medical records - Knowledge of anatomy related to the eye and vision correction - Experience in retail sales is preferred We offer competitive pay based on experience.
