Examines patients' eyes to detect and diagnose vision problems, diseases, and other conditions, such as diabetes or hypertension. Being an Optometrist develops treatment plans and prescribes eyeglasses, contact lenses, and/or medication to treat eye disorders. Educates patients on proper eye care and treatment plans. Additionally, Optometrist requires a doctorate degree. Requires Licensed Optician. Requires State License to Practice. Typically reports to a manager.     Summary

    Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking an hourly locum Optometrist to join our Silverdale Medical Center team in Silverdale, Washington.

    Optometrists at Kaiser Permanente provide full-scope eye care in a multi-disciplinary setting, including the diagnosis and management of ocular health and visual function as well as ophthalmic manifestations of systemic disease and medications.

    Our medical centers are fully equipped with the latest technologies and our teams includes skilled, well-trained, certified ophthalmic techs that provide support to our doctors.  We have a full service Optical dispensary and Epic electronic medical records at all practice locations. 

    Silverdale Medical Center is a multispecialty medical center. Lab, Radiology and Pharmacy on site. Office hours are 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday with Urgent Care open 2pm – 10pm Monday through Friday and 11am – 7pm weekends. 

    As a condition of employment, all clinicians and employees are required to verify COVID-19 vaccination status.  As part of the pre-boarding process and before starting work, you will be required to verify your vaccination status, and will be provided an opportunity to apply for an accommodation based on a religious or medical reason, if needed.

    Compensation and Benefits

    The entire hourly rate range for this position is $69.92 to $78.05 per hour. Placement of new hires will be in the range of $69.92 to $78.05 based on factors such as education, training or experience.
