Description
At Zimm Cataract and Laser Center we are seeking an experienced primary care and medical optometrist for our surgical ophthalmology practice that provides Cataracts, Advanced Lens Implants, Glaucoma & Retina Services. You will join a clinical care team that currently includes one surgeon, two optometrists, and a highly skilled support staff at our office in downtown Erie, PA. This is an opportunity for the right candidate to broaden their service offerings and earn a higher level of income.
Schedule & Compensation
The ideal candidate will be available to work four to five days per week. Our office is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. No evenings or weekends.
Total compensation will be negotiable and will be based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, 401k with company match, a Continuing Education stipend, and paid malpractice. Compensation will be based on experience.
Requirements
A minimum of three years of work experience in a private refractive surgical practice is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will have Therapeutic & Glaucoma licensure and be comfortable facilitating cataract, glaucoma, and retinal consultations. Familiarity with routine testing, including manifest refraction, corneal topography, tomography, RNFL/macula OCT, and Humphrey Visual Field is a must.
You must be a self-starter and motivated to work with surgical and comprehensive care patients. The successful candidate will have a passion for saving and restoring sight as well as thrive in a busy practice. It is important that your workstyle and personality align with the values and direction of the practice.
