Optometrist provides primary care and medical treatment to patients with visual system disorders and diseases. Examines patients' eyes to detect and diagnose vision problems, diseases, and other conditions, such as diabetes or hypertension. Being an Optometrist develops treatment plans and prescribes eyeglasses, contact lenses, and/or medication to treat eye disorders. Educates patients on proper eye care and treatment plans. Additionally, Optometrist requires a doctorate degree. Requires Licensed Optician. Requires State License to Practice. Typically reports to a manager. Acuity Optometrists practice full scope medical optometry, working alongside comprehensive, glaucoma and vitreoretinal surgeons, Acuity Optometrists manage ocular disease, glaucoma, and vitreoretinal diseases, interpret imaging, manage cataract pre and post operative care, in addition to prescribing glasses, contact lenses, and medications.
· Monday- Friday, no weekends, no nights
· State of the Art technology - OCT, B-Scan, Optos, pachymetry, IOL master, biometry, corneal topography, and tomography
· Mix of medical, refraction and post op patient visits
· Advanced Bespoke EMR “FOCUS” with imaging and remote access.
· Great support staff with 1 to 2 Techs and 2 lanes
· Telehealth Optometrist options for remote assistance
· Well established practice for you to learn and grow.
· Busy surgical practice with consulting retina, cornea, glaucoma and comprehensive MDS
· Competitive guaranteed salary plus optical bonus plan
· Sign on Bonus/Relocation allowance
· $5000-$10,000 referral bonus for referring other Optometrists-Ophthalmologists
· Minimal call 1:8 after-hours/month triage phone call only-no onsite
· Specialty interests welcomed.

Requirements
• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree and active California license in good standing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth understanding of eye conditions and vision defects.
• Hands-on experience with eye examination tools, such as ophthalmoscope and tonometer.
• The ability to explain medical terms simply and calmly
