Examines patients' eyes to detect and diagnose vision problems, diseases, and other conditions, such as diabetes or hypertension. Being an Optometrist develops treatment plans and prescribes eyeglasses, contact lenses, and/or medication to treat eye disorders. Educates patients on proper eye care and treatment plans. Additionally, Optometrist requires a doctorate degree. Requires Licensed Optician. Requires State License to Practice. Typically reports to a manager. Join our expanding team of 16 ophthalmologists and 12 optometrists providing care at 20 clinics and our wholly-owned, ophthalmic surgery center housing state-of-the-art technology. For over 20 years, Carolina Eyecare Physicians has provided exceptional eye care to patients located in the greater coastal Carolina area.
Highlights:- Join a fast-paced, high-volume optometric practice (busy ODs see 20-30 patients per day)
- Full dedicated team of work-up technicians, scribes, and diagnostic support
- Highly incentivized compensation plan (mature practices yield $200,000 in compensation)
- Bluffton/Hilton Head is home to coastal neighborhoods, Southern charm, and beautiful beaches
Education & Experience:- Residency preferred, but not required
- Doctor of Optometry degree from a top-tier program
- Board certified preferred, but not required
- State-issued license for optometry
Compensation:- Competitive, guaranteed base salary for initial period plus bonus if production formula exceeds base salary
- After initial period, compensation is based on production formula only, with significant upside potential
- Sign-on bonuses available
