Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team at our Wisconsin location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, with specific expertise in managing and optimizing DB2 databases.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain DB2 database software on various platforms.
• Perform database upgrades, patches, and migrations as required.
• Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure optimal efficiency and reliability.
• Implement and maintain database security protocols to protect sensitive data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and downtime.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate database systems with other applications and infrastructure components.
• Provide technical support and guidance to developers and other stakeholders as needed.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database administration.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a DB2 Database Administrator or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of DB2 database architecture, administration, and performance tuning.
• Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Database Administrator) are a plus.
