Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves Oracle database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. Being an Oracle Database Administrator may require a bachelor's degree in a related area or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. To be an Oracle Database Administrator typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. About the Role
Donegal Insurance Group has an opening for an Oracle Database Administrator. As a member of our Information Services team, this position will help support expanding Oracle environments and ensure database availability and performance consistent with required SLAs. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day Oracle Database administration across all Oracle environments.
Knowledge and experience with Oracle databases on Linux/Unix platforms, strong experience with Oracle advanced features such as Multitenant, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN (backup/data recovery), Oracle Advanced Compression, and Oracle Advanced Security Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
This position requires working with all IS teams to ensure database availability and performance consistent with required SLAs.
