Order Clerk receives and processes orders for materials and merchandise. Utilizes order tracking and CRM systems to process orders, record prices, delivery dates, inventory status, maintain customer information and other data related to each transaction. Being an Order Clerk confirms orders, updates shipping status, and notifies customers of any backorder or delivery delays. Researches and resolves order errors and updates the system. Additionally, Order Clerk may prepare packing lists or other order-related documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Order Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. As an order selector, your primary responsibility would be to pick cases of product that will be loaded on our trucks and delivered to our customers (schools, nursing homes and restaurants). The hours for this position are Sunday - Thursday from 5:00 pm - approximately 1:30 am with overtime as required. Responsibilities include operating an electric pallet jack, scanning cases of product for selection, building and wrapping pallets for customer delivery, plus other general warehouse duties as needed.
