Order Clerk receives and processes orders for materials and merchandise. Utilizes order tracking and CRM systems to process orders, record prices, delivery dates, inventory status, maintain customer information and other data related to each transaction. Being an Order Clerk confirms orders, updates shipping status, and notifies customers of any backorder or delivery delays. Researches and resolves order errors and updates the system. Additionally, Order Clerk may prepare packing lists or other order-related documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Order Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The Order Administration Clerk will process all customer orders upon receipt. Performs functions, such as, daily production and scrap numbers, shipment numbers, verify and update WIP and finished good inventory & produce daily production sheets for Meadville personnel. What You'll Do: Review and process all customer purchase orders into the system. Reconcile daily production. Print out reports as required. Communicate with customers through email or telephone to verify all purchase orders received are correct and to Grede requirements. Complete and distribute the daily production schedules at the daily production meeting. Contact customers on short ships and past due dates. Enter information into corporate database as required. Lead the bi-annual physical inventories. Additional duties as required. What We Need From You: Minimum of completion of a high school diploma or equivalent. Strong Excel and Solid Microsoft Office Skills. Clear communication skills with the ability to interact well with people both inside and outside Grede. Must always perform duties in a professional, efficient, and quality manner. Internal drive to improve processes and confidence to advocate for system change. Works in climate-controlled office. Occasionally exposed to noise, heat, dust and fumes of plant. Must be able to wear all required PPE when in the plant. Must have accurate and fast data entry abilities.
