Order Clerk receives and processes orders for materials and merchandise. Utilizes order tracking and CRM systems to process orders, record prices, delivery dates, inventory status, maintain customer information and other data related to each transaction. Being an Order Clerk confirms orders, updates shipping status, and notifies customers of any backorder or delivery delays. Researches and resolves order errors and updates the system. Additionally, Order Clerk may prepare packing lists or other order-related documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Order Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsibilities of Warehouse Picker :
- Operating ride on pallet jacks, stand up trucks, reach trucks (no sit-downs)
- Picking orders via hand-stacking product on pallet to ensure customers orders are filled at a consistent pace
- Operating a RF scanner
- Loading trucks via pallet jacks, stand up forklifts
- Daily warehouse cleaning assignments
- Work in safe but efficient manner
Requirements of Order Picker :
- Must be willing to submit to a background and drug screen
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Minimum 6 months warehouse experience
- Ability to lift up to 20-45 lbs regularly and 45 -75 lbs occasionally
