Order Clerk receives and processes orders for materials and merchandise. Utilizes order tracking and CRM systems to process orders, record prices, delivery dates, inventory status, maintain customer information and other data related to each transaction. Being an Order Clerk confirms orders, updates shipping status, and notifies customers of any backorder or delivery delays. Researches and resolves order errors and updates the system. Additionally, Order Clerk may prepare packing lists or other order-related documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Order Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Summary/Objective
An Order Processor is a key member of a company’s team responsible for processing and maintaining customer orders. This can include processing orders, liaising with suppliers and resolving any issues relating to the orders. The Order Processor role involves managing the order, manufacturing and delivery processes, ensuring that orders are processed accurately, efficiently and within a set timeframe. Order Processors are required to have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and great organizational abilities to successfully manage complex orders on a daily basis.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Responsible for receiving orders from the sales department and processing orders into
JobBoss.
· Review past runs of the same part number for any needed changes to the process.
· Review all revisions to drawings and purchase orders.
· Review Customer PO’s and create the production process to manufacture the parts
required.
· Create and expedite external vendor purchase orders.
· Create, maintain, and review 2D drawings for parts and tools.
· Provide administrative duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Must possess excellent communication skills, working with others in a team environment.
· Must be able to multi-task.
· Must have experience working on a Windows based computer system.
· Have a thorough understanding of AutoCAD drafting software and be able to read
blueprints.
· Data processing and business inventory experience a plus.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· A good understanding of the design and production/manufacturing process.
· Working knowledge of JobBoss Processing system or related systems is a plus.
Education/Experience:
· High School diploma or GED is required.
