Order Clerk receives and processes orders for materials and merchandise. Utilizes order tracking and CRM systems to process orders, record prices, delivery dates, inventory status, maintain customer information and other data related to each transaction. Being an Order Clerk confirms orders, updates shipping status, and notifies customers of any backorder or delivery delays. Researches and resolves order errors and updates the system. Additionally, Order Clerk may prepare packing lists or other order-related documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Order Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Purpose: To pick customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ability to read and understand pick ticket labels, work orders and other shipping related documents
• Operates a scanner to read bar codes labels, process and fill customer orders
• Travels safely and efficiently to designated location and selects product as instructed on the monitor
• Assembles and verifies customer orders from open bins in specified pick locations, then returns garments to assigned cartons and inducts back to main conveyor line when complete.
• Sorts and replaces garments returned from customers and any replenishment cartons, according to UPC label
• Monitors and checks cartons that divert to QA area
• Participates in the slotting of product into designated pick zones per UPC instruction, whenever necessary
• Assists in any other outbound shipping areas, as needed (see below)
• Compiles QA findings of incorrect picks on the error report template, completing all required fields
• Pick any missing or incorrect garment(s) from their designated pick location, if not found in the carton
• Install and later remove portable conveyor from dock door to facilitate efficient unloading
• Unloads cartons as required for VAS, FedEx onto pallets following safe lifting instructions
• Moves pallets with manual or powered jack, to the designated staging location
• Attaches labels (LPN) to cartons which do not ship with appropriate bar coded branding
Skills/Qualifications/Education/Licenses & Certifications:
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands: Good color vision preferable. Frequently required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
