Being an Order Clerk, Sr. confirms orders, updates shipping status, and notifies customers of any backorder or delivery delays. Researches and resolves order errors and updates the system. Additionally, Order Clerk, Sr. may prepare packing lists or other order-related documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Order Clerk, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. The Order Entry Clerk is responsible for entering orders into our system in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Data entry of orders utilizing company system.
- Ensure timely and accurate order entry and rates.
- Works closely with the Internal Freight Team Members and Customer Service Team to ensure the accurate execution of order entry.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Excellent and precise data entry and typing skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of motor carrier operations and geography.
