Order Fulfillment Director leads and directs the order fulfillment process. Oversees order entry, administration, and shipping processes. Being an Order Fulfillment Director develops scalable business processes and customer service standards to deliver efficient order processing. Implements order tracking and CRM systems to process orders, maintain customer information, and monitor contracts or agreements for expiration or renewal. Additionally, Order Fulfillment Director establishes inventory monitoring procedures to track and trigger actions that will maintain appropriate levels of products. Partners with stakeholders to identify conditions impacting the fulfillment workflow and to develop effective solutions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Order Fulfillment Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. The position is responsible for managing and executing the Order Fulfillment process according to Customer’s Service Level Agreements, execute Purchase Orders and Logistics.
• Order Fulfillment o Process customer orders through the ERP system o Send Order acknowledgment and order confirmation within 24 hours o Oversees the order tracking process and ensures orders are processed in accordance with Customer Service Level Agreements. o Align order requirements and delivery dates with Production Scheduler and Carriers to meet order requirements o Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments o Ensure proper paperwork is sent to Customers prior delivery o Ensure paperwork and transactions in the ERP are complete to invoice Customer within 24 hours after shipment o Excellent proactive customer communication regarding order status through email and over phone o Update Order Master in a daily basis o Attend and contribute to production meetings daily. o Service Level Agreements Metrics Management • Logistics o Coordinates with dedicated fleet dispatcher all outbound and inbounds to prioritize fleet usage or book common carriers and assure customer delivery date and requirements are met o Estimates load size for the order and obtains shipping quotes from freight companies o Tracks all shipments and keeps delivery records on file and measure on time deliveries o Review and approve invoices from carriers • Purchasing o Execute Purchase Orders based on PO requisitions from Planning, vendor requirements Education High School diploma or 3-5 years of experience in Order Fulfillment (Customer Service), Procurement and/or Logistics (within the Chemical Industry a plus) Preferred Experience / Skills B.A. / B.S.
