Order Fulfillment Director jobs in Kansas City, MO

Order Fulfillment Director leads and directs the order fulfillment process. Oversees order entry, administration, and shipping processes. Being an Order Fulfillment Director develops scalable business processes and customer service standards to deliver efficient order processing. Implements order tracking and CRM systems to process orders, maintain customer information, and monitor contracts or agreements for expiration or renewal. Additionally, Order Fulfillment Director establishes inventory monitoring procedures to track and trigger actions that will maintain appropriate levels of products. Partners with stakeholders to identify conditions impacting the fulfillment workflow and to develop effective solutions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Order Fulfillment Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Order Fulfillment Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Summary:     

    To pull items efficiently and accurately according to customer order.


    Location: Kansas City, MO

    Hourly Rate: $18.00/hour with 12 month progression to $20.21/hour

    Standard Work Hours:  Flexible PT schedule Monday-Friday


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    ·          Pull all orders for the customer according to the prescribed picking quota as set by management.

    ·          Pull means - to go to the shelf where the product is located; identify the proper product and quantity, pull the product, and transport the product to the checking station.

    ·          Basic navigation on the computer is required

    ·          Use of RF scanning equipment is required

    ·          General housekeeping of facility and specific product line area is required.

    ·          Accuracy in repetitive routine is very important while maintaining good speed.

    ·          Follow and adhere to all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materials.

     

    Qualifications: 

    Must be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing product numbers and line codes to insure proper retrieval of products for shipment, including identifying sequence of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly.

    Education/Experience: 

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    Language Ability: 

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.  Ability to write legibly.

     

    Math Ability: 

    Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. 

     

    Reasoning Ability: 

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.  Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

     

    Work Environment:

    While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. 

    The noise level in the environment is loud.

     

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. 

     

    Occasional use of a forklift – Certification is also required.

     

    The employee is frequently required to lift up to 60 pounds. Must be able to move heavy product in excess of 1,000 pounds with moving aids designed to move such items including hand trucks, dollies, motorized cart, pallet jacks, etc.

     

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
