Being an Organizational Development Consultant builds human capital through employee development programs. Measures employee performance to gauge the success of programs and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Consultant implements and reports on the effectiveness of leadership development, team development, and organizational communication programs and practices. The Chelsea Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) partners with residents, businesses, and community organizations to activate projects which expand economic opportunity and improve the quality of life in the Chelsea Neighborhood of Atlantic City.
This part-time (25 hours per week) position will serve as the CEDC’s expert for all things green - trees, plants, flowers, and gardens. The Master Gardener will offer expert advice and guidance, strategic planning, and the execution of daily maintenance, including but not limited to, watering, pruning, shaping, and providing proper nutrients for effective growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES for the Master Gardener:
*Planting and propagating various types of plants, flowers, and trees
*Soil management and fertilization to ensure optimal plant growth *Preventing and treating pests and diseases
*Proper plants, flowers, and trees selection based on the environment for optimal growth
*Educating the business & public in Chelsea EDC’s program
REQUIREMENTS for the Master Gardener:
*Must have a Bachelor's Degree in horticulture, Botany, Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
*Must have experience working in a botanical garden, nursery, landscaping company, or agricultural setting.
*Demonstrate knowledge of plant care techniques, soil management, pest and disease control, and landscaping principles.
*Bilingual English/Spanish and/or English/Bengali preferred, but not required.
*Excellent understanding of and a passion for Atlantic City. *Must be able to have computer skills (including, but not limited to, research, budgeting, presentation, and organizational skills)
*Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends. This position offers a potential for full-time employment at a future date subject to grant funding.
