Organizational Development Consultant jobs in Huntington, NY
Organizational Development Consultant implements all aspects of organizational development. Develops training programs, facilitates change management initiatives, and reviews current development programs to ensure linkage to company goals. Being an Organizational Development Consultant builds human capital through employee development programs. Measures employee performance to gauge the success of programs and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Consultant implements and reports on the effectiveness of leadership development, team development, and organizational communication programs and practices. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Organizational Development Consultant work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Develops and implements processes and programs designed to maximize employee productivity, performance, and engagement.
Job Responsibility
- Passion for customer experience.
- Ability to communicate both written and orally, accurately, and effectively across different roles and cultural backgrounds.
- Identifies skill or knowledge gaps among the organizations employee population and develops training content in response to identified training needs.
- Conducts needed assessments, focus groups, or employee interviews with the goal of identifying areas for improvement.
- Gathers data describing organizational structures, business and operating procedures, reporting relationships, and team interactions.
- Selects training tools or training delivery mechanisms, based on the material being taught and the audience being targeted.
- Implements interventions meant to address performance issues or gaps and monitors program progress to completion.
- Creates and maintains course content, manuals, or other training materials.
- Coordinates guest trainers or subject matter experts.
- Assesses the impact of training programs by measuring employee understanding of the subject matter.
- May assist with management or executive development programs.
- Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.
- Ability to accommodate hybrid work schedule including three (3) days onsite/in-office & two (2) days remote weekly.

Job Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
