Develops training programs, facilitates change management initiatives, and reviews current development programs to ensure linkage to company goals. Being an Organizational Development Consultant builds human capital through employee development programs. Measures employee performance to gauge the success of programs and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Consultant implements and reports on the effectiveness of leadership development, team development, and organizational communication programs and practices. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Organizational Development Consultant work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Widener University's Center for Extended Learning is currently seeking highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach in the Organizational Development & Leadership BS & MA program.
Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 or 2 courses each semester on an "as needed" basis.
Courses available for adjunct staffing are offered in online, hybrid and evening formats.
Adjunct faculty are expected to teach to the designated syllabus, provide support and guidance to students; facilitate on-line or campus based courses and respond to student needs in a timely fashion; develop strategies to teach the course for the entire semester or session, use the course syllabus, objectives, and curriculum; meet the university's academic standards; organize and prepare course materials for facilitation; utilize educational technology to engage students and enhance learning; connect students' current study to real-world applications; demonstrate consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of assignments; provide timely feedback to students; maintain students' grade book and complete final grades by the deadline.
