Full Time –Hourly plus tool/gas allowance & benefits

Travel required within 1.5 hours of the Youngtown, OH area.

Individuals considered for this highly responsible position should have 5 years or more experience in home construction, maintenance or a related field. The applicant should also have basic skills in carpentry, framing, concrete and minor excavation.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the District Manager to complete special projects within the organization
- Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that may arise during project execution

Skills:

- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify creative solutions for project challenge

- Comfortable with leading repairs, troubleshooting maintenance problems and assisting in new building projects

- Must be a self-starter, independent worker, and have the ability to prioritize and problem solve daily work load to contribute to the completion of the project as assigned

- Organized & Detail Oriented

Experience:
- Should have all Maintenance Technician responsibilities and skills mastered
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with internal teams
- Proven experience in successfully working through a project from initiation to completion

- Prefer experience operating mini excavator, bobcat, or ability to learn

This is a hands-on, full time position working at various apartment/self storage/ office locations within our company portfolio. Job requires heights of 20ft or higher on occasion. Must not have fear of heights or electricity to be successful.

Special project technicians with Universal Development must have hand tools, power tools, reliable transportation, a clean criminal check, clear drug screening, positive can-do attitude, be neat clean and presentable. This Special Project Maintenance technician will receive an hourly base wage, a monthly tool/gas allowance plus health benefits, paid time, sick pay, and 401k match.

Locations where you will be expected to work include: Hermitage, New Castle, Cranberry, Erie, Cheswick & Meadville in PA. In Ohio, areas include: Girard, Niles, Vienna, Poland, North Canton & Stow.
