Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. The Organizational Development (OD) Specialist will play a key role in ensuring change initiatives and acquisition integration, focusing on staff engagement, culture and change management. This person will focus on the people side of change – including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. This role will involve project planning, action planning, communication, training and other internal consulting activities. The Organizational Development Specialist will work to drive faster adoption of a unified culture, leading to a positive impact on employees and increasing internal achievement of team results and outcomes.
While this role does not have supervisory responsibility, this person will have to work through many others in the organization to succeed. The Organizational Development Specialist will act as a coach to leaders at all levels to help them fulfill the role of change sponsor. This role will periodically travel to WSB locations in support of their acquisition integration and change management job duties.
