Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Organizational Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     • Individual will support global EHS programs. Manage and track a variety of EHS regulatory permits and submittals to assure compliance with EHS federal, state, local laws, permits, licenses and renewals, and global regulations and company standards or expectations in these areas.
    • Support and audit company Injury and Illness prevention Program (IIPP) effectiveness.
    • Conduct EHS program audits and inspections according to applicable established audit practices; communicate audit results, develop and track remedial action and plans.
    • Manage industrial hygiene investigations, surveys, and solutions to identified deficiencies, and IH data report management.
    • Manage ergonomic evaluations and corrective solutions. Support hazardous chemical waste and biological waste programs. 
    • Support the emergency response, disaster preparedness and recovery program. Maintain EHS related records and prepare EHS reports as required.
    • Review Manufacturing SOPs for EHS criteria. Work with Facilities, Engineering and operating departments to incorporate design and implementation of projects with EHS impacts.
    • Provide EHS training, incident investigations, and other EHS duties as assigned.
    • Support Company EHS program initiatives and requirements.
    • Provide input on product safety design during design input reviews.
    • Manage other projects within the EHS department as assigned.

     

    Knowledge/Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree Science or Engineering with 9 years of experience OR Master’s degree EH&S discipline with 7 years of experience
    • 10 years of experience with EHS and product safety programs
    • Broad knowledge of EHS issues / programs as they relate to company operations.
    • Experience in behavioral based safety.
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of current OSHA and Federal, State & Local Environmental Regulations.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with external regulatory authorities and senior personnel within the organization.
    • Board Certification in an EHS related discipline (e.g., Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Hazardous Materials Management) a plus.
